1. Visiting this website

When you visit this website, your browser automatically transmits the following data to our server: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, referring page, browser type and version, operating system and language settings. We process this data to deliver the website, to keep it secure and stable and to fix errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for these purposes, unless an incident requires us to keep them longer.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, on servers in the European Union. IONOS processes the data described in section 1 on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

3. Cookies, fonts and tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from third-party servers. WordPress sets technically necessary cookies only for logged-in site administrators. If we introduce analytics or conversion measurement in future, we will only do so with your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG) and will update this notice beforehand.

4. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your contact details and the content of your message to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare an engagement. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Before taking on a matter we run a conflict check, which also uses the names of the parties involved. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply, in particular under Section 50 BRAO.

Please do not send confidential or sensitive information in your first email. We will agree a secure channel with you once an engagement is in place.

5. Recipients and transfers outside the EU

We only share your data with service providers that process it on our behalf (such as our hosting provider) and where we are legally required to do so. We do not transfer data from this website to countries outside the European Economic Area. If you are located in the United States and engage us, we will exchange data with you as necessary for the engagement (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).

6. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw any consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). You have the right to object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
